Dolphin Watching while kayaking in Virginia BeachDolphin watching while kayaking can be one of the most memorable moments of a vacation in Virginia Beach. One particular memory from last summer while on a kayak dolphin tour was on a beautiful hot July afternoon. Our group was just outside the Rudee inlet in the Atlantic ocean enjoying the amazing views and the feeling of the nature all around us while waiting for a pod of dolphins to come by. Just relaxing in the kayaks out in the ocean on a calm day is amazing by itself. After about 15 minutes we spot a pod of dolphins approaching from the South about 500 yards out. The excitement and anticipation of watching them get closer and closer to us was amazing. They quickly get right next to our kayaks and are feeding on a large school of fish. The dolphins are circling and surfacing within a few feet of our kayaks. The sound of the blowhole is loud and comes unexpectedly giving us a fun startle! The dolphins fed on the school of fish while slapping their tails against the water for about 30 minutes and other pods joined in as well. They swam so close you could see their eyes! It was a truly magical experience watching these majestic creatures.

My sister and her friends are planning to go on a tour with her friends. It was suggested here that they should check out the entertainment available when planning to go on a tour. Furthermore, it's recommended to consult experts when considering going on a dolphin tour.
