Bryan Hopkins surfing in Virginia Beach. As a native of Virginia Beach Bryan has been around the water all of his life. Since a young age he has had a passion for spending time outside, birdwatching, hiking, surfing and kayaking. Bryan created GoKayak to share his love of nature and exploration with others. With over 20 years of experience surfing and kayaking the local waters of Virginia Beach and his many years of experience in the hospitality industry Bryan is the perfect tour guide!

John Malbon is a native of Virginia Beach.  He is not your average tour guide.  He is a waterman.  John has a close relationship with wind, tides, currents, water depth, wind shadows, where to find wildlife, where to go and where not to go.  John will optimize your paddling routes to get the best paddling conditions possible while optimizing your chances for seeing wildlife.  John is also a marathon runner.
